Dear Readers,
I apologize for being absent. I started strong and fell right off the bandwagon. But so much has happened in the past month and I have so much to share.
At the end of August, we went to Israel to celebrate my at my friend's wedding. It was magical and fantastic and the food was divine (post on that to follow). Being in Israel was such a tease as us kosher-eating foodies understand. The food is delicious, fresh, inspiring and creative and ... kosher? It was eye opening to see how differently Israelis eat from North Americans and definitely made me evaluate my own culinary choices. And it always sucks to come home from there.
Since I have been home, it has been a bit of a roller-coaster ride. From starting my new job (blogging doesn't pay the bills ;p), jet lag, to the chaggim (aka. Jewish High Holidays) to being ridiculously sick which has taken me to now...healthy (finally kicked my sickness), fatter (so many meals during the holidays) and humbler (it is currently the holiday of Sukkot where we eat and sleep in 'huts' outside). Suffice to say, things are calming down and I'm back in action!
I'm also so excited to continue to share with you what goes on in my kitchen. Stay tuned for some great news and information and of course yummy and healthy recipes!
